Angela McGrath

I’ve experienced the challenges and benefits of study abroad first hand: I came to Spain almost 30 years ago to improve my Spanish and complete my career in Tourism Business Management… and I’m still here! My 25 years of professional experience in top multinational companies led me to create Hola Universal Studies Abroad, where I enjoy helping other people to expand their horizons and future possibilities. As Program Director, my mission is to develop new and exciting immersion programs for our clients.

Not even being a lawyer made me less passionate for multicultural experiences… so I replaced my volumes of law books with travel guides in my own travel agency. The world has so much to offer! We just have to go out there and discover. My role in Hola Universal Studies Abroad is helping our customers along the pre-departure process and assisting our students once they have begun their study abroad adventure. I am happy to help!!

If you don’t believe someone can be 100% bilingual, take my word for it: you can! My bilingualism began at an early age, growing up in the USA with my Spanish family. I’ve studied, traveled and worked in different countries (one of the advantages of being bilingual!) and now I put my 20 years of experience in Communications at the service of our customers. My mission is to manage your admission process and provide you with the information you need for your experience abroad. We can’t wait to welcome you!

My bilingualism comes from having an American mother and Spanish father. My career at Hola Universal Studies Abroad began with an internship while I was finishing my studies in Sociology and Political Science. But once I discovered everything that study abroad brings to young people’s lives, I knew I wanted to be a part of this and participate in our customers’ success. My role is to help students with their application and paperwork, and assisting them once they are in Spain.

Working with social media has always inspired me to travel the world and discover other cultures, something that I love! After graduating in Advertising and PR, I discovered my true vocation as a result of a Master in Marketing and Digital Communication.
